What is Memory Jamboree?
Memory Jamboree is the school-level competition where participants will compete in the different memory disciplines through special techniques. It will develop the cognitive aspect, instill discipline, and boost participants’ confidence by:
- Mental stimulation activities included in entertaining school events.
- Using the strategies: Teaching students in progressive schools to consciously remember in an organized manner.
- Equipping students with memory skills that last a lifetime.

Participants compete in three exciting disciplines:
- Memorizing Numbers: Recall as many digits as possible within the given time.
- Memorizing Words: Remember and reproduce a sequence of unrelated words.
- Memorizing Dates: Commit historical or fictional dates to memory with precision.
Competition Format
- Memorization Time: 5 minutes to absorb as much data as possible.
- Recall Time: 10 minutes to reproduce memorized data accurately.
Categories
Memory Jamboree is divided into categories based on class levels:
- Sub-Junior: Classes 5 & 6
- Junior: Classes 7, 8 & 9
- Senior: Classes 10 and above
Above categories are for understanding purpose and may change as per the need of the schools.
